24th Birthday

My birthday is always an emotional time for me, it reminds me that just as I'm growing every day, those around me are growing old too. I don't ever want to live a life without my pops or grandparents.

It's always been hard for me to take a day off work, but the more time passes, the more I realize I need to live. One day we will leave this world behind and all we can take with us are the memories we've made.

I've decided to be intentional and remember although it's great to work towards something, I should never forget to live.

One day we will leave this world behind, make more memories than money.

This year for my 24th birthday I planned a little getaway to San Diego, California. it is one of my favorite places to visit. I love the food, walking on the beach and they amazing weather. If you plan a trip to San Diego, I guarantee you will find so many places to visit!

There are serveral different beaches you can visit, like La Jolla, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and others. You can spend the day at art museums and explore the beautiful Balboa Park. Visit a the Pearl Harbor memorial in Downtown San Diego, and walk though the pier. Food there is amazing too! There is a small Island, Coronado Island, the bridge to get there is kind of breath taking. I had a small anxiety attack not gonna lie, just don't look down and avoid foggy days.

We ate at several amazing restaurants and all had vegan friendly meals, but my all time favorite restaurant is Native Foods. It's amazing to find all vegan restaurants with incredible missions like helping our environment or protecting animal rights. Food there is amazing and they have a friendly staff too! I ate orange cauliflower and a chocolate chip cookie, my husband had a gastropub burger. We also had sprinkle cupcakes and lots of decaf coffee.

The night before my birthday my husband decorated out hotel room with balloons, wine, cake, and presents. He made me feel so loved and special! He got me the classic book of Little Women, I've been wanting it for a while, he indeed listens to me lol.

On my birthday we drove to several places, we drove to La Jolla and took our dogs for the first time to see the ocean. We then drove to Balboa Park to see the flower gardens they have, they were blooming and beautiful. Later that evening we arrived back home and my family took me out to eat pasta at Olive Garden. I got the whole birthday treat, free cheesecake and the signing, but I wouldn't change a thing.

Hopeful for 24 and feeling all the love. 🤍
